News Release – West Coast Orthopaedics – June 2005

Associate Earns Association Leadership Role 

CRYSTAL RIVER - It is with great pride that we announce that Marie Demastus, Orthopaedic Coding Specialist, was recently elected as “President Elect” of the Professional Association of Healthcare Coding Specialists (PAHCS).  PAHCS is a national association with headquarters in Florida.  Membership consists of health care office workers in group practices throughout the United States within medical, dental, osteopathic, and allied science professions.

This is a significant accomplishment and is appropriate recognition of Marie’s leadership ability and professional accomplishments.  For example:

• Marie was one of the first coders in the country to earn designation as Certified Orthopaedics Coding Specialist.

• Due to her technical knowledge and professional reputation, she has also been called upon to author articles in the PAHCS bi-monthly national publication.

West Coast Orthopaedics, P.A. takes justifiable gratification in employing associates who give selflessly of their knowledge and time to make a difference in their chosen profession and thereby enhance the quality of services to our patient population.
